Every August 1000’s of folk arrive in Brighton to experience the largest parade in the UK. Brighton Pride parade attracts thousands of people form all around the world, starting in Hove Gardens and continues through the day.
3 - Famous Pebble Beaches!
Known as London by the seaBrighton’s stone beaches stretch for miles. with an estimated 614,000,000 pebbles! That’s right - I counted them.
2 - The only Grade 1 listed pier in the country!
Brightons West Pier burnt down in 2003 due to arson however it had already started to collapse in 2002. Consequently fire fighters couldn’t get close enough to it to salvage the pier. Today only the shell of the main structure stands and remains an iconic structure.
1 - Brighton Dome - The kickstarter of careers!
The year was 1972 when Pink Floyd debuted their incredible masterpiece '“Dark Side of The Moon”. Also, did you know that ABBA won EUROVISION in 1974 with their mega hit “Waterloo“ which was also hosted at the famous Brighton Dome!
